Developments in capital markets, namely, current account imbalances and financial integration, and labour markets rigidities have been among the most noticed difficulties some countries have been facing after adopting the Euro.

 

To discuss these issues, and the lessons that emerge from the analysis of the first 10 years of the Economic and Monetary Union, the Economic Policies Research Unit of the University of Minho is organizing a two-day conference bringing together academics and other experts.
